I ran an engine match between CB Tiger 15 and Shredder 7.04 each with their respective books, each with 32 megs. of ram for hash, alternate colours, ponder off, on a PIII 500 with 128 megs. of SDRAM. I ran it over night and throughout the day, it took about 18 hrs. The games will take up too much space, and I don't know how to format them to be read easily, so I'll give the Cross Table only. ================================================================================ Default, Blitz:4'+2" 0 1 Shredder 7.04 +13 +36/-32/=32 52.00% 52/100 2 Chess Tiger 15 -13 +32/-36/=32 48.00% 48/100 (100 Games) ================================================================================ A very close and good result for both programmes. I watched several of the games, and they usually went into endgames. I'd say these programmes under these conditions are virtually equal. I can't be certain for _Long_ T/Cs. Terry
