Gentlemen,

From my tests at game/90 minutes each, I've found Shredder 7.04 to be
significantly stronger than version 7. These tests were conducted in 10-double
round-robin tournaments with Fritz 7.08, Chessmaster 9000 (SKR and Pillen), and
Chess Tiger 15. In 8 of the 10 tournaments, Shredder 7.04 won first place
(either sole possession or tied with another engine), while Shredder 7 often
finished in the middle of the pack. They all played with their own books (CM
used variously Fritz's or Tiger's book) with ponder off and no book learning, on
an AMD 1.44 Gig computer.

All the best,

Stephen
