Also... taking some hints from John, I modified the max depth and SOP to just 1.
 I then went back to the exact example you gave me, only I modified one of the
text files to give an MD and SOP of 1.  Because the king plays by default if it
doesn't get these values, this was an easy way of truly knowing if anything was
getting loaded.

And sure enough, the SOP and MD was not 1.  I have 2 copies of the king -- both
OPK and "OPK Free" versions, and I tried it with the same results on each.
