Playing strength isn’t everything. I’ve two new fast PC’s plus >Fritz 8 etc. but I won’t be selling my R30 even for the £500 I‘ve been offered. This reminds me of the late commodore Amiga. People still use them as well as certain businesses but there is no money in it for the current owners (gateway) who mothballed it. I own a Sphinx Concerto from 1993 which plays at elo1780. What would interest me is if an amateur emulation programmer of the 6502 chip would take a rom image of this unit and emulate it on a PC. That would be cool, then I could see how well the code matches up on fast hardware to the current competition.
