I used to play there a lot, er... I let my computer play there a lot. Coupla
things:

1.Lots of RAM won't help ya there. Most games are blitz, if you read the fritz
manual it says that engines (or at least fritz) rarely use more than 10mb
(actually I think it was less) of hash in blitz games. Setting it to more than
32 will only slow down your engine (albeit not by much).

2.Those in the 2900 realm have REALLY fast dual proc machines (I seriously doubt
anyone would be able to get 2900 on a single proc), with really fast RAM.

3.Complete set of 5 piece tablebases, sometimes a little of 6.

4.Choose your opening book wisely.

What's your fritzmark, or shreddermark? I'm surprised there isn't a page out
there that tracks these benchmarks for various cpu/mobo/ram combos.
