I have put 100 or so lines starting with f3 into my Fritz 5 book, to make it hard for players to find a good winning line in Fritz 5 if they try is anti-computer tactic. I am sure Crafty can do the same thing if it wants to play. If Rebel 10 plays with Rebel ECO im sure it would be rather risky to do this, as 1 f3 is not a good move, if you play the first few moves after right. So I don't think it will be much of a problem, if precautions are taken.
