If the module unplugs from the board I would clean the finger contacts of the module. The LEDs that don't work are they all in a single row or single column? If a single row or column LEDs do not work it may be due to a bad LED driver chip. The driver chip could be in the module or part of the board it self. Does the board come apart to gain access to any circuitry inside? I know this is not much help. Good luck Bill
