So first you destroy the business of the opponent. When his business is down, you buy him. then you build him up, as a marvellous talent and a great program. and then you make money for YOUR company. Such a strategy you need when your own product is weak. if you would have a good product , you would not allow a magazine you control (Frederic is in charge of CSS) to make another product down. when people buy chess programs they think those chess engines are interesting for them to buy. this interests comes from reading newsgroups, magazins and advertisments. if wrong information is presented in those newsgroups or magazins, the people buy a product on the base of wrong facts. this is a betrayal. it comes not to the surface as long as you can censor newsgroups and magazins.
