A long time user of F5.32 and have had no problems it. Purchased F8 approx.two weeks ago and installed it on a desk top P11 300hz and a lap top Compaq P111 1.2 ghz. F8 and new gui seems to be unstable compared with old F 5.32 Same problem on both computers.Start new game and colours invert, white at top of board and F 8 makes a move.I can then invert board once again, white at bottom but the move F8 played stays.I can retract move manually but a box appears and asks "insert", "overwrite" etc. I have installed the F8 talk files on the hard disc of both computers and for the most part the program speaks with-out the CD.But now and again it will not. On the lap-top to-day played two games then the program stopped moving when it was it's turn to move? It was playing black. Finally I found that there were no-longer any engines loaded? I loaded the CD and did a repair install and now the engines are there. Where they went I have no idea? Occasionaly when a new game is activated the new screen appears and the previous game moves are still there? Desk top only for the moment. The whole lay-out is different to F5.32 and perhaps that is part of my problem! But on the whole at this point in time I am not pleased with the way F8 is operating and performing. Alan
