i was playing in a tournament when the following crazy position turned up on the board next to me: [D]rnb2b1r/pp4pp/1kp2P2/8/5B2/1B6/PPP1QPqP/RN2K2R w KQ - 0 12 we humans of course want to play Nc3 here and sac the two rooks (Nc3 Qxh1+ Kd2 Qxa1), because that's what you do in this kind of position :-) in fact, it is correct to do this - Nc3! wins. is there a program which finds Nc3 AND gives it a positive score? cheers martin
