I thought that I should mention this as no one else has... my prefered method is to copy all *.ctg (chessbase tree data trees) into one directory on my hard drive using the operating system, not the gui. Then in the gui, I merely use the "load" option for whatever tree I need-- it always works and since the gui remembers your preferences, you dont have to do this much. Of course the big problem with chessbase trees which are set to "learn" is that they tax system restore on program close because of their large file size-- most users get ant-sy when their app just wont close promptly-- so be prepared for that. (and of course that's the big reason to put a tree on the hard drive, so it can be modified) On May 10, 2003 at 16:01:28, Pavel Blokhine wrote: >I am trying to copy the openings book for Shredder 7 into my hard disk but the >part where it says "Copy tree to hard disk is greyed out".
