on playchess, you may use a formula to adjust the range of opponents you'll be going to play against if you let the engine play automatically. I consider a rating cheat is to set the range of opponents to 2700/2800+ - 4000. This way, you'll never ever lose much rating. There is a group of players which joyfully cultivate this sort of 'incest'. They all have ratings 2900+ probably brought up there by the only in the latest update banned 'shoulderclap' technique - let some good friends or another account of yours play against you losing deliberately very often... If you look in their gamelists, you may find, that they after the beginning never ever played against anyone below 2750 or so. It is very easy to keep your rating going up this way. Regards, E.
