It's me again,
I'm sorry I'm not any help with the MCP-5 hash problem. I was just trying to
relay to you what is in the MCP-5 manual. I believe that the manual is in error
anyway. It says that for "Optimal performance under Woindows 95 or MS-DOS" When
you turn on your computer watch the screen. When you first see the "Starting
Windows 95" press the <F8> key. When you see the "Starting Windows 95 menu"
press 6 <Enter>("Safe mode command prompt"). Load your mouse driver in low
memory(Below 640k). MCP5/X <= Optimal performance using Windows 95 "Safe mode"
or using pure DOS(No QEMM and NO himem.sys).
Thats all from the manual. However, I don't think you can run windows without
the HIMEM.SYS. I also believe that when I had Windows 95 I never got it to work
with more than 60k hash tables either.
