Your test would be interesting, but only for computer vs computer, we don't really know if an increase in speed would help a comptuer vs a human or not, it would help it search faster, and maybe 10 or 5% of the time, find a better move compared to if it were using slower processors, 5 or 10% doesn't seem like much but a single move can cost you the game. Also, if it is true that Rebel performs better vs humans than computers, which I agree with you there, why is it not being 'watched' more closely when it comes time to select a program in man vs machine
