Do you see it the same way? Of course I see a difference in Kramnik and Kasparov. For me Kramnik is the by far wiser human being. He feels himself as a member of a social peer group. In Kasparov, also in Fischer, you can see a certain contradiction, a double bind, in the relations to the other players. What Fischer did with Spassky, what Kasparov did with Polgar and Shirov, or lately to Radjabov, is very different to what Kramnik ever did to another player. Call it greed or, better, motivation. Kramnik is a genius who doesn't need optimal conditions, hatred or absolute control. Kramnik is the best actually. > >SL.
