Subject: Rebel and Windows XP

It is my understanding that Rebel 12 beta will run in Windows 2000 but not in
XP.  Is it simply not possible to get Rebel running in XP?

It is my understanding that NT and Win2000 ran DOS/16-bit apps in virtual
machines, and as long as the apps didn't make direct calls to hardware, they
would likely run in the VM's.  Has this changed with Windows XP?  Is there any
possibility of setting compatibility options to enable Rebel to run in XP,
perhaps with the help of MS's application compatibilty toolkit?

I apologize for posting on this issue, since it's probably a bit old.  I
attempted a search of CCC's archives but had a little trouble finding any
details of the problem.
