Years ago there used to be an upgrade policy on Chessbase chess programs (Fritz 2,3 etc) -- but back then the price was ( I can't remember exactly ) say $129 and the upgrade was say $69 ....then as PC's became more popular amd more commercial programs, the prices started dropping. Eventually, they dropped low enough (in Chessbase's opinion) that a an upgrade discount is not longer offered. Solution - purchase the new product and sell the old CD on e-Bay and consider the "net purchase" your upgrade price. Junior 6 should fetch you at least $15-$20 on eBay. I really like the "loyalty" upgrade policy by Lokasoft and I don't even think twice about upgrading for less than $30.
