AMD has a whole line of silicon products. But if we limit us to CPUs with the x86+ ISA that are not for embedded applications they have the Athlon and the Opteron. The Athlon exist in a few current revisions Althlon-M, Athlon XP (Thurougbred and Barton cores) and Athlon MP (Same two cores as XP). The Athlon XP is not a SMP certified processor. The Athlon MP is SMP certified. The Opteron OTOH is the only current product based on the newest core from AMD. And as the Opteron is primarily a server CPU it is by default SMP enabled. There is an Athlon 64 for the desktop on the AMD roadmap. It is based on the same core as the Opteron. And it is indicated that it won't be SMP enabled. Rumours abound about modifications to the roadmap though. MvH Dan Andersson
