nVidia demoed the nForce3 at the AMDZone LAN party, but yeah, they won't be
available for at least a month or two. And, as far as I know, it is the only
Opteron motherboard chipset with AGP. Note that there are two types of Xeons,
the regular Xeons and the Xeon-M's. Regular Xeons are meant for 2-way, and the
Xeon-M's go 2 to 64-way. There is only one line of Opterons, which go 2 to
64-way. Also, Opterons are 64-bit CPU's, whereas Xeons are not. To get 64-bit
computing out of an Intel CPU, you'd have to go to the WAY overpriced Itaniums
which have a completely different way to achieve 64-bits, a way that requires
programs written directly for it. You can run legacy programs on it, but the CPU
is forced to emulate the old code, which makes it much slower.
