Stefan Meyer-Kahlen hinmself said recently in a chat in a german forum, that he thinks there is much potential in improving his engine with the classical measures: Better pruning, better move ordering, better extensions, better evaluation. He thinks that he can still stick to these measures for the next year to make significant improvements.
