In reverse order:

1.  Crafty runs just fine on XP.

2.  I am not sure what will happen for the Athlon 64 processor.  The question
will be "who will support this in a compiler first?"  If Microsoft does, then
I'm sure someone will compile for it.

3.  Since the -64 is supposed to run 32 bit stuff with no changes, it would
seem that winboard would be a "drop-in" affair so all should work fine...
