Well Freind lookie here,I tested Chessmaster 6000,7000,and even the 8000 against other Programs I have like Fritz 6,7,and 8,Shreder 6 and 7,Junior 6and 7,and Chess Tiger 14 ans 15. I played games one against the other on similar Machine,(almost the same speed and ram),and then switched up. Chessmaster 6000 would have played against Fritz 6 at that time. The 7 versions of the others wasn't out yet. So on so on,You get the idea. In My opionion ,the Chessmaster series moves real quick and held Its own against the other Programs in blitz games(5 minute or less). However,in longer games Chessmaster fell thru the cracks and lost. I didn't play 1000's of games no,but I did test It against the others in serval 100. You have to give Flowers where Flowers are due Friend,Chessmaster does move quick ,but Its no match for the Big Boys in longer games. The strenght just isn't there.After the results I obtained from the other versions of Chessmasters ,I didn't bother to buy the 9000.You can't put Chessmaster on top of the throne,It can't climb that high.>>>>Mike
