Basically it is starting two 'Baron' processes that are both thinking on the same position, but share the hash table. To prevent the two processes to search roughly the same tree, I changed the second process to use MTD(f) instead of PVS. I haven't tested the speedup thouroughly, but I believe Baron reaches a speedup around 1.4. As usual it has been a very pleasant tournament to play in. The group of participants is a group of friends which makes the atmosphere great. I can really recommend participating in one of the 'Leiden' tournaments if you're in the neighbourhood. Next tournament will be in October ... Richard.
