I don't think anyone's debating the point that companies DO put so much stock in
the tournament.  And I enjoyed watching it, but it was a short match.  People
who run tournaments in their basement may have more valid results of engine
playing strength.  By having equal hardware, longer time controls, equal books,
etc., the playing field is more equal.  The fact that the King did so well being
an underdog is impressive, but could it be sustained over dozens more games?
