You are the one who missed the point.

Kurt said that his chessmaster setting are based
on games against other opponents and not based
on games against other personalities.

My opinion is that an improvement should be also
an improvement against the default personality

If something is better against other opponents and not
against the default personality then it probably because of some weakness of the
other opponents.

The other opponents may get better in the real tournament
and it may stop to be better in the real tournament
(we do not know if what is good against shredder7.04 is good against
shredder7.06 that played in the tournament).

I understand johan if he does not like this kind of improvement.
