I was rather surprised to see the following at: http://www.gamesdomain.com/news/9328.html MINDSCAPE CHECKMATES KASPAROV REPORTED BY Corey Brotherson Mindscape has created a new portable chess game approved by the legendary chess master, Garry Kasparov. Kasparov Chessmate is a PC-based game which allows you to transfer your matches in progress to Palm and Pocket PCs with all settings intact. The title uses the chess engine Ruffian, which is one of the most powerful engines created for the genre, and allows you to play against one of 45 computer opponents, with each player designed to reflect a human learning curve. There is also a multiplayer and online mode. And if that wasn't enough to get your pawns in a flurry, there's also career and story modes, the latter allowing you to play as a member of the Kasparov Chess Club, testing your skills against other club members until you earn the right to play against Garry Kasparov himself. Kasparov Chessmate is set for release this June.
