This is not true, i've never suspected an opponent of cheating, and i've been
playing games at FICS and ICC (mostly now only at ICC) for about 3 years.
I know this because i often analyse with Fritz after the game.
Of course some games are really close to 100% Fritz moves, thats usually in
games where alot of "simple" tactics exist. This happens in many of my games for
some reason (im not a good player), not 100% Fritz moves, but a mix of top 1
moves, top 2 moves etc.. I was actually banned from OCL (the Online Chess
League) that play team standard games at ICC and FICS. I didn't cheat. I was
paired with weak opponents, and of course these players make weak moves so it's
easy to find the top moves. This of course never happens when playing against
better players than myself. What i learned from this experience was that all
fuzz about cheating on the chess servers is way off. I don't think there are
that many players that actually pay for an account and then cheat (smart
cheating) in all their games.
