I have gotten the installer running with Wine, but no more. Wine is EXTREMELY

VMWare: probably.
DosEMU: not likely, DOSEMU doesn't support DPMI IIRC, and Rebel needs it.
Win4Lin: I couldn't get it working, but I haven't tried very hard. It would
load, but the display didn't seem to be working.
