Hello

It is for the chips like i386, i486 and P90 the older chips without the
Multi-Media eXtension instruction sets.

In your case P4 has mmx there for you don't need to use that engine.

I don't have Fritz 7 but if you rename that engine to something else
Fritz 7 might see it as valid engine and use it, Try it if you want.

There was word that the nonmmx engine was better when fritz 7 was first
got to the market but I think since then the updates fixed the problem with
the regular engine.
