Hi all, I had always assumed that Pocket Fritz running on a 206MHz PocketPC was much stronger at blitz than any of the dedicated computers of the past. I was surprised when I played a match between Pocket Fritz and a Mephisto Genius 68030 (SSDF about 2200) and got the following result: +4 =4 -4 The games were played at 15/0. It would be interesting to see how a match at longer time controls would work out, but I don't have the time for that... Is the Genius module particularly good at this time control or did I have an inflated view of the strength of Pocket Fritz? If I has guessed before hand I would have expected a couple of draws for the Genius module at best ... Peter.
