I don't know if icdchess will pull my posting as being "too commercial" (they've done it before). I have absolutely no connection with the two firms below. KBtoys.com and Etoys.com are now selling Talking LCD Chess for under 10 dollars. This represents the best buys I've ever seen in computer chess. For those who aren't familiar with Talking LCD Chess, it is quite a bit stronger than the other Excalibur handhelds. It also has a number of different (more chess-like) features from the other units. My review of Talking LCD Chess can be found at: http://home.earthlink.net/~kantack/lcdchess/talkinglcd.htm The Talking LCD Chess links at EToys and KBtoys are: http://www.etoys.com/genProduct.html?PID=1725159&ctid=17&ls=toys&_ts=y http://www.kbtoys.com/genProduct.html?PID=1725159&ctid=17&ls=toys&_ts=n If you don't already own a chess computer (and are even thinking about getting one) buy TLCD Chess. Regardless of whether you use it as a handheld or as a "desktop computer" (mirroring the moves on a real board), TLCD at $9.97 is the best buy I've ever seen in computer chess!
