No match is as yet planned, and if such a match were to happen it would need the
cooperation of either, A: A lot of people contributing some small amount of
money, and at least one organizer type person to set it up, or B: Just one
wealthy organization or individual who wanted to set it up and run it.

I posted replies because of my love of computer chess and my past knowledge of
Jon Shroer the chess player - Basically, its all just hypothetical. But it also
has caused me to think about what I might be able to try when I relocate myself
back in NY where I grew up. I plan to try to set up some matches at the
Marshall CC (Board of Director's willing), between strong chess programs and
that clubs strong senior masters. I will of course be soliciting contributions
and looking for simularly interested chess people. I think it would be a cool
thing for the chess clubs to do, and could bring the Marshall (or Manhattan, or
Polgar), CC some member gaining publicity too!

Naturally, time controls, players, programs, and all other details will have to
wait until it can be acertained if enough interest and motavation is really 'out
there'.
