I think Joachim is right, and you are missing the point. I care very little
about whether it is the UCI version or the Chessbase version. The fact is that
it is performing a good 50 points stronger (for the moment) than the next best
on the same hardware. That's very impressive. It is doing far better than its
predecessor, a great program in its own right, whereas Fritz 8 only managed 1
elo point more in performance. You are entitled to your opinion, but I think
that is a remarkable software improvement when improvements seem to be getting
harder and harder at the top.
