It depends upon what you are trying to test.  In my opinion, the book is part of
the program.  The moves in the book, and the means of selecting between then,
are part of the program's strength.

I don't agree that competition should be restricted to one part of the system.
I think that high-quality work done on the other parts should be rewarded.

Which is not to say that my own book is any good :-)
