Subject: Unexpected Test Results ?

Hello

Could anyone comment on the following test results that have got me puzzled

I have been testing 3 versions of chess engines I have been tinkering with

Engine 1) TSCP Original Version
Engine 2) Speeded up TSCP with code algorithm changes
Engine 3) Same as Engine 2 but with Null move enabled

Results were

Speeded Up version 29.0 Points
TSP Original Version 18.5 Points
Speeded Up & Null Move 15.5 Points

I know that Null move logic can potentially sometimes miss the best move
available, but I wasn't expecting it to have such a negative effect.
I guess it is possible I haven't implemented Null move correctly and it is just
a bug causing this ?
Could a correctly implemented Null move weaken a program so badly as shown above
?
I have checked my code, can't see an obvious mistake, so any ideas greatly
appreciated.

         Regards Geoff
