Shredder is :-) But to try this, you must disable tbs. access *twice* in the GUI: In "Extras/Options, Tablebases" from the menu, and in the F3 dialogue where the GUI's tbs. access is controlled. Then, neither GUI nor engine should be confused by corrupted tbs., and S7 will play correctly, as mentioned above. For example, the mate in 7 is announced nearly immediatly. Regards, Mike Scheidl
