The FEG has been updated for the second time, fixing another bug, as Johan de Koning reported here recently. The download URL remained the same: ftp://ftp.ubisoft.com/games/chessmaster/other/Feg.zip The FEG.TXT contains now a list of affected tables (which btw. is much longer than yours?): "2002-Nov-18 version 3.03b : KNNK bug fixed. (...) The list of all files affected to some degree is quite long. KNNK KBKB KBKN KBKP KNKR KNKB KNKN KNNKQ KNNKR KNNKB KNNKN KNNKP KNPKQ KNPKN KNPKP KBKQB KBKQN KBKQP KBKRB KBKRN KBKRP KBKBB KBKBN KBKBP KBKNN KBKNP KBKPP KNKQR KNKQB KNKQN KNKRR KNKRB KNKRN KNKRP KNKBB KNKBN KNKBP KNKNN KNKNP KPKQR KPKRR KPKRB (...) 2002-Dec-26 version 3.03c : Transparent Pawn bug fixed. Affected files are the ones where both sides have at least a Pawn and White has at least a sliding piece. As well as the ones relying on them via promotion (KPPKP) or capture (6-man only) or both. Regarding 3,4,5-man these are KQPKP, KRPKP, KBPKP, KPPKP." As a compromise, I generated all 3 and 4-piece CM9K endgame tables again, and copied the most important 5-piece tables Rook + ? versus Rook (RP/N/B/R-R and QR-R) from CD #2. (Of course RP-R is the one which is really important among these, but it's recommendable with CM's tables too I guess, to install the complete set of sub-endgames which can arise from promotion.) If I didn't overlook something, these were not affected by the bugs. Regards, M.Scheidl
