I bought the Iwill DP533 board after reading an E7505 chipset mobo shootout (on
http://www.2cpu.com ) showing it to be in the clear lead speed wise. It's
integrated stuff rocks too. 64-bit Intel Gigabit NIC (FAST as all hell on my
gigabit network), AC97 sound, 4 USB 2.0 ports (most mobos only have 2), plus 2
internal, Firewire port, and even SPDIF. The board also supports the brand new
PCI-X stuff (PCI ports running 133MHz) for future boards supporting that. AGP
8x. For $600, I considered it a good buy.

As far as opteron options are concerned, if you need a board with an AGP slot,
you'll have to wait a while until nForce3 comes out. After that, I haven't
researched those boards.

That said, I am MORE than happy with my current setup, as I'm sure you would be
if you go the same route i did.

I bought most of my stuff through Newegg.com, since they are the undisputed
kings of price/reliability in terms of service/shipping etc...

hope that helps! let us know how things go with that!

Pete
