That would be nice of him. Given a choice between him making some money for his
work and not having a version of Ruffian for free, I think he deserves to be
paid. The possibility of having a version for the community and his being paid
is even better. :) But I do hope his work is being recognized by the business
community and I hope he is being well paid either way.
