Hi,

Ruffian is a very very strong and a free engine!
The most readers here know this :-)

This project is for me very important for computer chess developments for the
future, not only for Arena allone (Ruffian is a partner program from our
Freeware GUI Arena).

All programmers or other persons where give hours of time for computer chess
must get a little bit for his work. Not only the strongest amateur programs.

But this is a new way in IT managment / IT market situation for the future and
for the most persons not to explain. I mean the most persons are thinking that
freeware must be bad or 1x freeware ... freeware for every time or other things.

The old commercial way is in the future not very important.
The secrets are other things!

Example:
A freeware programmer create for a commercial product an engine but released his
engine for free. Important is that programmers are free to released to his own
conditions.

Not every person have an Internet connection and only a little group of persons
like it to make configuration. The most persons will have a full and ready
product for setup and play with a little bit commercial support.

Commercial firms used only 5% from his possibilies to make more :-)
Computer chess is also a market for other new firms to try a little bit.

Enough bad English :-)

Best
Frank
