I upgraded but first I saved a copy of the Fritz 8008 engine for safe keeping in case I liked the 8.0.0.8 engine better than 8.0.0.23, which by the way was the case. In any event, after the upgrade the 8008 engine became 80023. After using 80023 I found that I preferred 8008, so I placed 80023 elsewhere and put 8008 back into my engine folder. Just for the fun of it at a later time, I tried the Query upgrade and I was given the same message that you received, telling me that I have the latest version. It appears that it recognizes the interface as having been upgraded and does not realize that the engine has not. Of course if it recognizes that the interface needs the upgrade, it will also convert the 8008 engine to 80023. Of course the upgrade can be installed again, since I saved the file. Is it possible that you have done the upgrade in the past? If so, you can always use the IUgrade again if you have it saved in your folder. If you no longer have it, you may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fritz8 program. Regards Brian Katz
