Of course it will play almost instanteously in most cases. I modified crafty with a delay move option so that one can set the search depth to any level - and it will always use the appropriate amount of time for the given time control. It give the game a much more natual flow to it since you are not getting the instanteous repsonses that can be unsettling when ome is trying to play a serious game with a normal time pattern to think about the moves - when it's your turn as well as as when one is pondering on the computer time. Instaneous moves removes the ability to ponder onthe opponents time.
