Hello All!

Thank you to your attention to SmarThink project.

I must make some explanations.
The strength of SmarThink is very depends of time control. It's because of
extremely bad method of time management. SmarThink was created for fisher-clock
and there are several problems with time management in all types of
non-fisher-clock games. It will be fixed in next version, i think.

The current SmarThink's book is really weak. That's why it's better to use any
good book instead of native.

SmarThink has learning and it seems to be OK. But by default it's off. See
SmarThink.ini for details.

The ratings listed on SmarThink page means about nothing (: It's based on some
net-tournaments in which several engines was rated much higher than in SSDF, for
example. Please keep it in view. The only meaning of ratings is to show the
growth of playing strength from version to version.

WB emulator = ChessBase WB adaptor. Nothing more.

SmarThink has some advantages with compare to other WB engines under adaptor.
It's not cleares some statistics when GUI sends "new" and all previous moves (:
Current WB adaptor really terrible thing but we haven't anything better :(

Why emulator? Beceuse it emulating WB under CB for engine. If your thing that
word "adaptor" is better - OK, I will replace it on my page.

SmarThink also uses some elements of Botvinnik methods of trajectories. See
SmarThink details on SmarThink page.

Now I'm working on SmarThink 0.17. It will be finished in next few weeks. It
will be I think 20-30 points stronger. Also will be fixed problems with time
management and will be added UCI support.

Sincerely yours,
Sergei
