It will solve something.  It solves the problem of people like myself also
buying the product and having the same issues.  I'm not saying that my decision
to buy is only based on reading a bunch of posts here.  It combines my own
experience of Chessbase products too.

If you're happy to buy something that is broken, as long as it gets fixed
eventually, that's up to you.  But personally, when I pay for something, I
expect it to work without having to ask the manufacturer for a repair.

On the one hand, it's impossible to produce bug-free software.  However, this is
no excuse for a company not running through a set of tests that ensure certain
fundamental functionality works prior to shipping.

You suggest addressing the issues properly.  How about more effort to avoid them
in the first place?
