It combines my own experience of Chessbase products too. If you're happy to buy something that is broken, as long as it gets fixed eventually, that's up to you. But personally, when I pay for something, I expect it to work without having to ask the manufacturer for a repair. On the one hand, it's impossible to produce bug-free software. However, this is no excuse for a company not running through a set of tests that ensure certain fundamental functionality works prior to shipping. You suggest addressing the issues properly.
