The Chessbase products (since Fritz 2.0) have all served me very well. Yes bugs appear, but IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, the good that I've received from using the program is far, far greater than annoyance at bugs. That said, these are the bugs in the current ChessBase GUI that bother me. Maybe others have workarounds for this or have encountered the same thing. This applies to both ChessProgram 7 & 8 1.Permanent Brain in a local engine match. Crashes either the program or my OS (win2k advanced server). 2.When outputting a PGN, if I try to choose a font other than figurine, the instant I drop down the font list, the program crashes completely out with an access violation. With my old computer (AXP 1800+, WinXP) I chalked this up to a problem with my Windows install, but after putting together this new machine on an Intel platform with Windows 2000, the same bug is there... I haven't emailed Chessbase about these yet, because they are not exceedingly important to me, though I will. Pete
