Interesting.
I think this might be something completely different, namely another bug of the
Fritz-GUI handling UCI engines.
If an UCI engine is default when you start the Fritz-GUI, the GUI won't tell the
engine anything about hash values, so the default will be used.
This should not happen if you load the engine after the GUI has already been
started.
There is some evidence for this bug but as usual with the various adapter
versions availlable you can never be sure what's the real problem :) .
Could you give it a try?
