The problem is not as serious as it sounds, it's just a little bug. I don't
think it influenced any results of Ruffian or other UCI engines in engine
matches for example.

For engine matches every engine is loaded new, and then the GUI does it
correctly. It just doesn't behave properly when it is started.

But I agree that testing under Fritz always holds many unpleasant surprises, and
I definitely wouldn't dare to make any assumptions about future versions :).
