They hardly make a difference in actual game play.  But they are very neat for
analysing endgame play of GM's.  Top GM's play 5 man endgames perfectly.  Lessor
GM's do not.  You can over these games and see exactly where they the weaker GM
threw a book draw to a book loss - and top GM's will get that win everytime once
that mistake is made.

In a spot check of about 50 games that were krpkr and a scroe of 1-0 or 0-1 over
the last 18 months, I found 5 games that were dead draw and then a mistake was
made and the other side converted to a win.
