This processor rans at 2.17 GHz an is for chess as fast as an P4 3,06 Ghz, but almost 3 times cheaper. I think you can get an Athlon XP 2700+ for about 130 Dollars. Buy a good Nvidia2-Board like the EPoX EP-8RDA3+ and you will have a very computer. If you have a bit extra-money buy a watercolling and Corsair - Ram and you can overclock the Front-Side-Bus to 200 Mhz which will give you an Athlon at 2600 MHz - with this speed it will be hard for any player to beat your chessmaster 9000. regards Joachim
