Do you all remember Chessbase's Winboard adapter? It was nice to use it to run Winboard engines in the Fritz GUI, but the sloppy implementation made more friends than enemies, and Chessbase has now withdrawn support for it. But why don't we see this as an opportunity? If Chessbase no longer offers a Winboard adapter, why doesn't some non-Chessbase person write a new adapter instead of leaving users to fiddle around with Winboard-UCI converters? Someone well acquainted with both the Winboard and Chessbase protocols. There are a few programmers who fit the description... any volunteers?
